FACTS AND RESOURCES ON COVID-19
The Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity & Opportunity (CWCSEO) developed this poster that provides facts and resources on how COVID-19 affects children and seniors. Those 60 years of age and older are particularly vulnerable to #COVID19, which is why social distancing is necessary. We can look after one another by staying at home and keeping at least 6 feet away from one another if we must go outside.


GUIDANCE FOR WORKERS WHO HAVE BEEN LAID OFF OR FURLOUGHED

GUIDANCE ON PANDEMIC UNEMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE
The Connecticut Department of Labor has created a webpage focused on Pandemic Unemployment Assistance with sections on including frequently asked questions, eligibility, and filing instructions.


CDC GUIDANCE ON USE OF CLOTH FACE COVERINGS
Wearing a face covering is expected to sharply decrease the ability of COVID-19 to transfer from person to person. The CDC has created a guide on how to wear, safely remove, and sew a cloth face covering in English and Spanish.

GREATER HARTFORD LEGAL AID INFORMATION LINE
Greater Hartford Legal Aid has established a legal information hotline for low-income residents: 860-541-5070. Attorneys available can speak with you on HUSKY/Medicaid, unemployment compensation, special education, and additional legal questions. Information available in English and Spanish.


CONNECTICUT BLACK AND PUERTO RICAN CAUCUS TOWN HALL SERIES
The Connecticut Black and Puerto Rican Caucus has hosted a series of online town halls with a lineup of panelists from state agencies, health care field, education advocacy groups, and more. Current installments have focused on: education, housing, health, places of worship, economic empowerment and criminal justice reform.
