Connecticut Added 7,900 Jobs in June

A new report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics says Connecticut added 7,900 jobs in June, with seven of the 10 major industry "supersectors" adding jobs (the 10 supersectors are construction, manufacturing, transportation and public utilities, information, financial activities, professional and businesss services, education and health services, leisure and hospitality, other services, and government).

Since June 2015, Connecticut has increased nonfarm employment by about 18,000 jobs, with nine of the 10 major industry supersectors providing job gains.

Connecticut's private sector has regained employment at a fast pace, recouping 95 percent of all the private sector positions that were lost during the recession.
