Statement of state Senator Cathy Osten, Senate Appropriations Committee Co-Chair, on this evening’s Senate approval of the labor concessions contract:

“I am thankful that my colleagues supported an agreement that saves $1.5 billion over the next two years, with an additional $24 billion savings over the next 20 years. This agreement, and today’s vote, now establishes a foundation for us to complete our budget-making process. I also want to thank our state employees for once again coming to the table to support a bright future for our great state.”
